Transfer 4, semana 1

Wow! What a week this has been! So much has changed and it's kind of amazing to see.

Wednesday we had a lesson with Dana and Jim and their kids. Basically, all of them know that they're going to be baptized, it's just a matter of time. When we first started meeting with them, they had all sorts of really hard questions that we had to figure out how to answer. But now, they don't ask us hard questions, and honestly, I miss it. But we still go over and talk about all sorts of things with them. We also found out about transfers!

Hermana Greenwood and I were really hoping that we would stay together for another transfer, but that wasn't in the plans for us. I stayed in Aberdeen and got Hermana Hyde as my new companion! And Hermana Greenwood moved all the way to... American Falls. For those of you who don't know, we live in American Falls even though we work in Aberdeen. So we'll still see each other a lot. She only moved five minutes away.

Thursday was full of packing and goodbyes. I was pretty depressed about Hermana Greenwood not being my companion anymore, though I was excited about having Hermana Hyde, so I laid in bed for a good chunk of the morning while Hermana Greenwood packed her things. But eventually we got out and went to work!

Friday was transfer day! And also my birthday. We moved Hermana Greenwood's things to the other apartment, and went to Pocatello. One of my mom's friends invited us over for a birthday lunch and made my favorite meal, Favorite Casserole. They sang to me and made me a cake. A fun way to celebrate a birthday on a mission. My mom also arranged to have a lot of people send me cards! If that was any of you, thank you! I love them all. After lunch, we went to the mission office to get my new companion! Hermana Hyde is absolutely amazing and I can't wait to see what this transfer will bring. We also had a stake party and got to see the American Falls sisters there.

Saturday we had a baptism! Danny made his first covenant with our Heavenly Father and we were so happy for him! Hermana Greenwood and her companions were able to come to the baptism too. Our dinner appointment dropped off food for us, including a dozen cupcakes, so thankfully we could share them with Dana and Jim and their kids. A dozen cupcakes is too many for two missionaries.

Sunday we taught Sunday School. We talked about missionary work, which is easy for us to talk about because it's all we do! We also went to a fireside for one of our wards, and I learned that Kahoot now has a player limit on the free version. What more can they take from us???

Monday we did a joint language study with the American Falls sisters. It was a lot of fun! And nice to see them. We had dinner with some members and Dana and Jim and their kids came too. They had a fun time jumping on the trampoline, and we learned a lot more about Kenyan culture from them.

Well, that's all for this week, folks. I'll talk to you next week! And sorry to any of you who have emailed me and I haven't gotten back to you. Pdays fly by and I always forget to reply to emails!
