Transfer 3, semana 6

Howdy everyone! How has your week been? Mine has been great!

It's been an action packed week. We had Spanish Zone Conference on Friday, and got fed Kenyan food on Saturday.

Wednesday, we had District Council in Pocatello. Then we did a small exchange and got to bring Sister Sitterud with us to a lesson with Dana and Jim. Then we had to drop her off at our meet up point, a casino gas station between Aberdeen and Pocatello. All in all, we drove 200 miles that day. Thank goodness our mission doesn't track miles!

Thursday, we had another lesson with Dana and Jim (we're really working hard with them, they're absolutely golden) and some elders were able to come, and they had President Packer from our mission presidency come too. It was so good! Dana and Jim have a lot of questions, and President Packer has a lot of scriptural knowledge so he was able to answer a lot of them.

Friday was Spanish Zone Conference! We drove to Burley and met up with all of the other Spanish-speaking missionaries. We learned a lot and had a lot of fun talking with each other. The Jacobs' twin sons asked to see all of "their" missionaries for their birthday, so they came down too. They spoil me, and brought me some muffins from Costco and a super soft, fuzzy blanket. I also silly stringed the twins with Hermana Beard (it's an inside joke/tradition).

Saturday was Kenyan food night! Honestly, I don't really remember what else happened during the day, but we went over to Dana and Jim's again and had a lesson with them. Then they fed us delicious but very different food. It was Ugali which is a corn based bread, Tilapia, Omena which are tiny sardines, lettuce, and steamed Kale. You eat with your hands and it was weird but quite yummy.

Monday, as a mission we had a sad day. Our new executive secretary went in to have heart surgery and unfortunately they found some complications and he passed away that evening. We have the knowledge that there is an afterlife and he will see his family again, but death is still hard. Please pray for the Welker family.

That's all I have. I meant to write this earlier but I accidentally took a two hour nap instead. Lots of love!
